Australia's bidding committee has used some of the nations most iconic celebrities in their final 2022 FIFA World Cup Bid presentation to the executive committee of FIFA.
The emphasis throughout the presentation was that a sports-loving country in Australia would make the most of such an opportunity to host the Cup, delivering a fun and safe event.
The presentation began with Governor-General Quentin Bryce speaking of the future implications of hosting the Cup. "This World Cup will benefit many generations," she said. "It will be a nation-changing event."

She appeared in a video directed by Hollywood legend Phillip Noyce, including the likes of sporting greats Ian Thorpe, Cathy Freeman, Steve Waugh and an animated kangaroo. The film was used to note only promote the landscape of the country, but also the passion that Australians shared for sport.
Frank Lowy said that the rise of the multicultural nation of Australia, which he witnessed growing up, meant that all teams playing here would have some local support base.
"It is an opportunity to play the World Cup in one of the world's most multicultural societies," Lowy announced.
"We can, and we will, deliver a cup that exceeds all expectations," he said. "Choose Australia and you will be in safe hands."
On the conclusion of the presentation, FIFA chairman Sepp Blatter presented the Committee with a Diploma of Presentation, congratulating the Australians on their efforts.
Time will tell if $45 million has purchased a World Cup, or a framed certificate.
